Volunteers from all professions can support CWW. Please visit our Volunteers page to see how you can help.
How will my donations be used?
Donations are used for educational purposes including paying for GED testing for students in Afghanistan, providing cell phone data plans or packages to students who can’t afford the internet, and providing resources for student projects such as the Over the Globe podcast. Please see our donate page for more detailed information.
My organization is interested in partnering with CWW. Who should I contact?
Contact partnerships@classroomswithoutwalls.ca. We look forward to working with you!
Do I have to be a resident of Canada to become a CWW volunteer?
You can live anywhere in the world to become a CWW volunteer. CWW has had volunteers in Australia, Portugal, the USA, Canada, and more!
How often and for how long do I need to be available to volunteer?
Volunteers have the flexibility to choose their availability, including when, how often, and for how long they wish to participate. However, to foster strong student-teacher connections, CWW recommends a commitment of at least 3 to 4 months, with volunteers ideally dedicating one 60 min session per week. This approach aligns with our emphasis on building meaningful relationships within the program.
Where is CWW's main office located?
CWW does not have a physical office, but the address associated with its charitable status is in Alberta, Canada.
Does CWW's volunteer work stop during the summer months?
It doesn’t. Children and Youth in conflict zones need to be supported year around.
How does CWW protect its students?
CWW takes child protection seriously. Should any of our students be at risk of emotional and/or physical abuse, CWW will immediately inform local authorities such as City Police Services who in turn will communicate with the RCMP and their international partners. In addition, all our sessions are always supervised by a CWW host.
