It all started back in March 2022 when David answered an email from Smart Osvita NGO in Kyiv inviting international teachers to deliver free online lessons for internally displaced students in Ukraine. David immediately understood the great need to support Ukrainian children so he committed his time to volunteer teaching for as long as it was needed. David's dedication led to Smart Osvita NGO inviting him to oversee their international teacher recruitment program. The experience was so compelling that it made David realize that similar programs could be developed to support children and youth in other conflict regions around the world. The results of this work led to the creation in November 2022 of Classrooms Without Walls (CWW). CWW now oversees the following programs; Teachers for Ukraine, Teachers for Afghanistan, and the Winds of Change International Leadership Youth Group.
